The development
Location, design, residence types and shared spaces show what the development is intended to offer.
The investment
The offering documents explain how you participate in that development: where the funds go, the rights you acquire, costs and risks.
Current participation
Confirm current EB-5 intake separately from residence availability. Each offering can have its own status and deadlines.
Does buying a home in the development qualify for EB-5?
No. Buying a home for personal use does not by itself qualify for EB-5. The EB-5 investment goes into a new commercial enterprise that must create at least 10 full-time jobs for qualifying U.S. workers; purchasing a particular residence is a separate transaction with separate rights. Ask which documents govern each one.
How do I know whether a project still accepts EB-5 investors?
Ask the project contact directly and in writing. Each offering has its own intake status, deadlines and documents, and EB-5 participation is confirmed separately from the availability of residences. Request the current offering documents and ask whether the regional center’s Form I-956F for the offering has been filed or approved.
